Pop singer Ayumi Hamasaki, 30, has been chosen as the first-ever representative in Asia for England’s top cosmetics brand Rimmel. Ayu’s debut advertisement for Rimmel will feature her big doey eyes pushing the brand’s eye color line, and will begin appearing around Asia in early August.
The iconic image of gorgeous, young Asian women, Hamasaki is perceived as beautiful and strong. To represent that, the Asian campaign features her seemingly bottomless, deep eyes painted up to let loose her powerful aura.
Rimmel is a long-standing name in English cosmetics, now available in 56 countries worldwide. Founded in 1834, this will be the first time in the company’s history to feature a muse specifically for Asia.
